Plans and coordinates the Dealership’s parts sales to meet customer requirements and maximize sales volumes and margins. Reports to National Parts Manager

Key Responsibilities

  1. Builds rapport and qualifies the customer’s requirements
  2. Demonstrates the Customer First Behaviors in all interactions with customers and colleagues
  3. Actively builds rapport with customers face to face and over the telephone, asking questions to understand their requirements
  4. Uses understanding of the customer’s needs and knowledge of available products to ensure all required parts and additional accessories are offered
  5. Quotes prices and availability of stock merchandise and accessories
  6. Encourages sales of parts merchandise and accessories whenever possible, acting on opportunities to sell additional products and/or services and market current promotions

Co-ordinates the Dealership’s stock holdings to agreed standards

  1. Monitors and maintains agreed parts stock levels, maximizing availability of items
  2. Ensures the Parts Manager is kept informed of stock movement and shortages
  3. Assists Dealership staff (e.g., Service department) to identify required parts
  4. Ensures stock is issued in line with company policy regarding payment or exchange
  5. Sources additional parts using GWM systems
  6. Checks all parts and accessories are in good order on receipt from supplier
  7. Returns surplus or faulty parts, adhering to parts returns policy
  8. Ensures delivery shortages are claimed for and credits are authorized
  9. Ensures all parts and accessories are correctly stored and located and appropriate housekeeping standards are met
  10. Ensures stock control documentation is completed fully

Works as a full member of the Dealership team

  1. Works within discounting guidelines, involving the Parts Manager for decisions where required
  2. Supports the Parts Manager and team to deliver objectives at the branch level
  3. Works with the Service and Workshop team to ensure pre-picking activity is carried out and ensure access to the requested parts to enable them to schedule and complete work to time
  4. Works with colleagues and other teams across the Dealership to provide a seamless service to customers
  5. Works with colleagues across the Dealership to investigate and resolve customer complaints
  6. Understands and follows relevant aspects of the operational guidelines 
  7. Ensures non parts sales opportunities are followed up by the most appropriate colleague
  8. Uses feedback to improve own skills and performance
  9. Maintains a professional manner and high standards of personal presentation at all times
  10. Adheres to health and safety requirements ensuring the safety and security of people, vehicles and property at all times, reporting any known faults or hazards
  11. Ensures own work area, vehicles and clothing are kept clean, tidy and in a safe condition in order to uphold CI and dealer standards

Requirement:

  1. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  2. Dealer experience preferred
  3. Automobile / Mechanical – Degree / Certificate
  4. Computer Literate (Word/Excel/Power point)
  5. Strong Communication Skills
  6. Listening / Cost control / Planning / negotiating and selling Skills
  7. Willing to grow within the company with a long-term relationship.
  8. English Speaking/reading and writing is a must
  9. Able to understand Manufacturers Communications and interpret with staff.
  10. Candidates who have applied for Govt. Jobs, on Govt. waiting list or with intentions to immigrate list need not apply.
  11. Able to Use EPC – Electronic parts catalogue
  12. Able to identify parts similarities using best practices for comparisons.
